Those were among the issues which had to be resolved by the Consistory Court of the diocese of Southwell and Nottingham in respect of a war memorial in the churchyard of Saint Nicholas Church, Tuxford. The memorial is Grade II listed in its own right, and the church is Grade I listed.’
